Dr. Tarun Sharma is an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, where he serves as a Principal Investigator and Project Leader. He leads a research group focused on developing analytical workflows for energy system analysis, with expertise in data collation, modeling, and comprehensive energy assessments. His team’s work actively engages key stakeholders in government and industry, adapting analytical capabilities to meet specific sectoral needs. Dr. Sharma is proficient in R and Julia for programming, with additional expertise in reviewing and querying scripts and data artifacts in Python and GAMS, enhancing the precision and impact of his research contributions.

Malvika Bajpai is a Project Associate and Energy Modeler at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. She collaborates within a research group specializing in analytical workflows for energy system analysis, with expertise in data collation, modeling, and in-depth energy assessments. Malvika works closely with key stakeholders in government and industry, adapting modeling capabilities to meet sector-specific needs. She is skilled in programming with R and Julia, and proficient in reviewing and querying scripts and data artifacts using Python and GAMS, enhancing the accuracy and applicability of her contributions in energy modeling projects.

Ashish Saraswat is a PhD candidate in Operations Management at IIT Roorkee’s Department of Management Studies, under the guidance of Prof. Tarun Sharma. He holds an MTech in Industrial Engineering from NIT Jalandhar and a BTech from AKTU University, complemented by a year of experience as an Executive Manager in the textile industry. His PhD research focuses on demand-side management in the energy sector, where he applies the SWITCH Power System Planning model to optimize energy strategies.

Ankit Sharma is a Project Associate at IIT Roorkee. With a degree in Electrical Engineering, he has honed his skills in programming languages such as Python and R, as well as database management with SQL. His experience enables him to contribute effectively to the team's objectives, and he is dedicated to using his expertise to drive impactful projects. As part of the MCET project, he has worked on modeling workflows with energyRt, specifically on ingesting an arbitrary number of solar, wind, and storage profiles for various regions, developing test cases for storage, among other tasks.

Dr. Arvind Singh Bisht is an energy professional with a strong academic foundation, holding a Ph.D. in Energy and an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the MCET project at IIT Roorkee. His expertise lies in the Indian power sector, where he leverages data analytics, modeling, and strategic planning to develop decarbonization roadmaps. He has made significant contributions to estimating carbon emissions and crafting policy recommendations. His skills encompass a wide range of analytical tools and a deep understanding of the energy transition landscape, enabling him to effectively contribute to the realization of net-zero goals.
